My representational work uses nature and the human figure to express the internal and external connection an individual has with their environment. Sometimes an individual is enmeshed completely with these environments and sometimes they are pulling away. Either way, there is a deeply emotional experience taking place. My paintings give the viewer a glimpse into these emotional landscapes.
Nonrepresentational imagery delves into the many layers of human emotion through color, texture, composition and visual movement. These non-objective paintings represent the diverse emotional landscape that every individual experiences.
My mixed media art uses fractured mirror pieces to incorporate the viewer into the painting.
